This is an absolutely gorgeous jewel color fruit themed Hughes, England demitasse tea or coffee cup and saucer set made between 1930-1941.

The espresso cup and saucer pattern is called Somerset and is part of the Eusancos line made by E. Hughes, England who closed in 1953.

The cup is 2.25 inches high and the saucer is 4.25 in diameter.

There are wonderful fruit, blue marble sections and lots of hand applied 24kt gold.  

The shape is usually called Mocha, and the pattern number is 2514.

The set is in very good used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear. There are some tiny specks of kiln dust made during manufacturing, which is normal, and does not detract from the gorgeous jewel like design.
